About

The History

TAH originally began as a spin-off from an agency managed association health benefits plans for state-wide associations in the 1970’s and 1980’s. When the new entity was formed by Margaret Tabit and Joe Arganbright in 1976, they continued to manage the association health plan for the Ohio Lumberman’s Association (OLA). Shortly thereafter, Joe and Margaret also began working with what came to be known as the Ohio Nursery & Landscape Association (ONLA) by managing their plan in conjunction with the OLA program. These two associations and the management of their plans, in addition to a partnership with the Ohio Restaurant Association (ORA) to manage their member’s employee benefits programs, served as the principal activities of the agency from the mid 1970’s to approximately 2003.

In March of 2003, Jay Hazelbaker became a principal / owner in the agency by merging his personal clients with those of Tabit, Arganbright & Associates, thereby changing the name of the firm to Tabit, Arganbright & Hazelbaker.
